Safavieh has the unique ability to produce each rug in the region best-suited to each particular design. Their artisans are scattered far and wide, they are all equally talented. But each country, city and village has its own time-honored techniques and special look – qualities incorporated into the designs. This rug is made using a cotton “backing” layer which is applied to the underside of the rug to secure the yarns firmly in place.
