Although it is made of solid wood and sturdy to use , the assembly was very time consuming, and does not come with tack or grips on legs, so it tends to slide on our wood floor. I would not try to lean to reach over something, unless a rubber grip is placed on each of the legs.

I looked long and hard for a step stool that was attractive enough to be left out in the kitchen for me to reach the top shelves. This one fit the bill perfectly. It was very easy to assemble and is sturdy enough to support my weight (I'm recovering from a stroke and am unsteady at times, so the sturdiness is very important).

Probably the best feature of this step stool is its attractiveness. I can leave it out in the kitchen 24/7 (which I would not do with other step stools that are more utilitarian than attractive) for ready access.

I've received more than a few compliments on it and am considering buying more as gifts.

I looked for a long time for a stepstool that would look good with my hand-made cabinets. This stepstool is perfect. It looks much better than the photo shows, it was very easy to assemble and it's as attractive as it is useful for reaching items in the upper cabinets.
