[...] It really is "wood" and therefore sturdy. Assembly is a hassle, and I'd recommend a second person assist - or have some clamps handy as you'll want some assistance while putting in the screws.The larger of the crews uses an allen wrench which is provided. This doesn't allow enough torque to put the screw in solid. I have no idea why they don't use regular or Phillips Head screws here. Beyond the "allen wrench" everything else assembles smoothly.Color - my idea of walnut is a super dark brown. Well, this is a deep red. I'd put this more in the category of merlot. Needless to say, it doesn't remotely match my other walnut stain furniture, which was the reason for buying this particular piece. Good-grief. I am keeping regardless as it looks sturdy and the price was very reasonable(and this is my reason for a positive recommendation). I will restain or paint to match my color needs.
