Unless you plan to spend significantly more, this is as good an audio rack as most stereo nuts need. If you have very bad floors that transfer bounce and vibration you might have to spend more for a more "sophisticated" rack, but my system is on the basement concrete floor and I can jump up and down and not hear a thing -- even with an LP playing. Can support very heavy tube equipment, nice finish on the shelves. Very minor complaints: 3 out of 5 casters lock -- for another dollar in cost they could have supplied 5 locking casters. Some equipment may not be able to be perfectly centered on a shelf due to the position of the rear vertical supports. I'd buy another VTI rack without worry.

This was just what I was looking for. I had been using a homemade audio stand for 15 yrs. When I upgraded my audio to separate pre-amps, power amps,CDR recorder, PS3,Audio Equalizer and center channel speaker, 2 routers and a 52" TV it all came together in a very nice design. Say's it'll hold 300 lbs. , I feel it will handle more than this, very stable! I also added the expansion shelf.Great product from VTI. Cymax delivery was right on time and free!

This stand occupies a niche - the size and flexibility - that is unique. It may not fit your sense of interior style, but it does look good and it calls less attention to itself than you might expect. Very solid. Excellent access and ventilation!
