These units are perfect for storing CD's and DVD's. Nice sturdy units to hold large amounts of CD/DVD's. Nice way to disaply them as well. I would order more as my library grows.

This is my second review of this item because it's the second one I've bought and assembled. I listed it as "difficult to assemble" and gave it four stars instead of five because, once again, I had to shave about 1/16th inch off the bottom of one of the back panels in order to make it fit properly. That's not a reason to avoid buying this though because it was a fast and relatively simple "adjustment" (a razor knife and straight edge did the job). So "difficult" was really a poor choice of wording (but it was the closest 'fit' of the options they gave on the comment form). I'd more accurately say that having to make that adjustment was only a minor annoyance. Other than that it went together easily, much like most other assemble-it-yourself furniture.

Now that I have two of these cabinets, one on each side of my big screen HDTV, my DVD collection is neat and organized, and my wife is happy with the way it all looks (and when the wife is happy, everyone's happy).

I bought two of these cabinets, the first was about a month ago. I was so happy with it that I bought a second one that I'm just assembling now. At first I thought the thin shelves were a bit flimsy, but by using the center two shelf supports in addition to the ones on each end (six supports per shelf), they are more than adequate to support all the DVDs I can stuff onto them.

Assembly was easy, although I must say that I had to shave about 1/16th of an inch off the bottom of one of the two back panels in order to make it fit properly. That was on my first unit. I haven't gotten to that step on the second unit, so I don't yet know if this small problem exists for all of them. It was easily corrected, so I wouldn't let that deter you from buying one, as long as you have the ability to make that adjustment if it is necessary. (A razor-blade knife and a little sandpaper did the trick for me).

The only negative in its design is that the front/side vertical panels cover up the first and last DVD on each shelf. I decided to put an empty DVD case in each of those spaces so that I could see the spine on each DVD in my collection. Once again, it's a minor point that shouldn't deter you from buying this cabinet. Also, I think the inclusion of those two front/side vertical panels really add to the classic good looks of the cabinet.

We were looking for something that wouldn't take up much space but would fit a large DVD collection. This was just perfect. It's also very attractive and matches our other bookcases. The only negative is that the two strips on the outer edges cover the DVDs on the very ends of the shelves, but that's a small issue. This piece is otherwise very well designed and easy to put together.

This unit doesn't take up much space, yet it holds up to 300 DVD's. The light cherry color matches my light cherry color furniture perfectly. I like this unit so much that I ordered a second one.
