Starting on April 10th, 2013, a fuel surcharge of 1% will be applied to select orders. While most orders will qualify for free shipping and no surcharge, a very small percentage will see this nominal fee depending on the products selected and the location to which they are being shipped. Why are we applying this surcharge?
The cost of fuel has been steadily rising due to increases in crude oil prices. The global transportation market has reacted by increasing their prices and industry forecasts that this trend will continue.
Till recently, Cymax absorbed these increased costs into our operating budgets. However, the continual rise indicates that we must now move forward by adopting the industry’s standard practice.
