I really like the design and look of the desk. I would give it a 5 out of 10 on ease of assembley. Use of a power screwdriver helps with the time and ease. The wood has a plastic type of lamintaion. You have to be careful when poking the screws through not to rip it. There were scratches on some of the pieces, but I was able to polish them off. Because of it's construction, the desk is best moved by two people after assembley. For the price and the sleek look, I give this desk a two thumbs up. Very Happy!!

Excellent design and quality, but you really have to be a meat machine to screw in some of the screws. Also, being somewhat savvy with tools is an asset.
The screwdriver provided is cheap and was stripped down after a few uses.
I think it will be difficult to move or disassemble, but time will tell.
Overall, great desk. Really like the look and it was good value.
The best part is, that Cymax shipped this to Canada. I tried to purchase from many retailers with no luck before I found this. We Canadians have very poor selection for decent furniture.

Be prepared - this took 2 hours to assemble (at least the first one did - after that, it went moderately faster). Not particularly great instructions and a TON of pieces (not one is preassembled). One of the 7 desks I ordered didn't even have the holes properly drilled, so I had to make those as well. The desk, once built, is nice - but just be prepared for a ton of assembly.
