Though not real wood, this furniture is pretty solid. It's also very attractive & looks great in my living room.

I had 2 concerns when i bought this, as i was looking for a toddler-friendly cabinet to protect my stereo components! 1) I wrote to the manufacturer and they told me the glass could not be replaced with plexiglass as the glass is built into the door. Not quite true. They are sealed with what looks like rubber (instead of glaze) and I believe it would be fairly easy to remove the rubber & glass and replace with plexi. Since the glass is tempered, I'm going to wait until it breaks (which seems inevitable in my house)
2) It's hard to find child-safety-cabinet-locks that work with entertainment centers. I spent half an hour looking at the handles on this thing trying to figure out how the hell to keep my kid out of it, then realized i could simply put the handles on the INSIDE. I can still get the doors open, but without handles my kid (and wife) cannot get into it. Viola!

Overall, this is great furniture and i would recommend.

Everything about it is relatively good except that within a week, the shelves were beginning to bow from the weight of components. My receiver is relatively heavy, though not as heavy as many, but my cable box is light and still bowed the shelf. That shouldn't happen. Overall, it's a good cabinet.

The TV stand is absolutely gorgeous. I bought it for my parents bedroom along with a new LCD TV. The wood is beautiful and a lovely compliment to their mahogany bedroom furniture and it is high enough for them to be able to see the TV from their bed. It very stable. Easy assembly. [...]. Very satisfied.
