The headboard is nice looking but has no protection against liquid spells. It's for a childs room so sippy cups will leak, :( It would be nice if they could precoat particle board against water damage. We bought this with the idea of buying nicer furniture in a couple years after child outgrows the damage phase. Would only recommend because of price and planning to use for just 2-3 years.

This headboard is just what we needed in a bedroom where space is at a premium. We didn't have room for a night stand so this headboard solved our space problem. Went together with no problems and seems to be sturdy enough to last a long time.

Our 11 year old loves this headboard. She is able to store all her books and electronics on the shelves. Her lamp and clock radio fit perfectly! It was easy to assemble. We are very pleased with this purchase.
