this bed was purchased for a 2 year old boy. It is sturdy, looks good, great storage features ( 2 large drawers and bookcase headboard), nice height for a toddler, seems durable without being overly heavy.

This is a sturdy set that looks good. I'd rather have had wood than laminate, but for the price, it is a solid piece. The drawers slide easily. We bought a mattress set and you really only need a mattress with this bed, so skip the box spring. It came with a couple of dings, but nothing that my toddler wouldn't have added himself within a couple of months.
My engineer husband took about 2 hours to put the headboard and bed/drawers together with the toddler interrupting, and he said that the instructions were very clear. My son loves the bookcase in the headboard to park all of his cars.

Perfect for what we needed. If you've ever put together funiture that comes in a big flat box(bookcase, ent. center, etc)then this will be a snap. Took about 1 hour for complete assembly.
Drawers are not that large though so there is some wasted space under the bed.

Just bought this bed for my 5 year old son. It took about 3 hours to put the headboard and bed together. (I, the mom, put the headboard together myself). Easy assembly with simple instructions. The drawers stick a little bit, but it might just be because they are new. I think they will slide easier the more they are used. Overall, great bed and my son loves it!

I purchased for my two toddlers Easy to get into they love it sturdy. Must be careful with the wood when getting into the bed but overall great will purchase again
