We finally found this great bed set for our 4 years old twins! There are many wonderful features we really like: easy assembly , tons of storage space: we can store extra bedding in the drawer and so do other stuffs. The bookcase allow twins pick up their favorite books and toys so easily. One thing we have to pointed out is two twin-size beds do take more space than a bunk bed if you have more children in one bedroom!

In fact, my daughter was concerned the beds wouldn't be sturdy as we were building them. But, they are well designed, just poor material quality. We had one piece misdrilled, but we figured it out. You are definitely getting what you pay for. As a suggestion to Southshore, it would be nice if there was a bottom stack of drawers sold separately to make the beds higher, but it would have to include an extension for the headboard. Also, I would have liked longer drawers to fill the space under the bed.

My 13 year old daughter is so pleased with this bed! She loves the added storage and the headboard. It is attractive and fits well in her bedroom. She recently decided to switch from a full bed to a twin, and she is truly happy with this purchase for her room.

This piece of furniture was pretty much as we expected for the money. Quality of the materials between average and poor. Therefore, durability and life span is kind of in question ( it will not survive heavy jumping on the bed for sure, but some parts can be easily replaced with the boards from [...] if needed :)Assembly could be somewhat time consuming for the first time user, but my 14 years old son and 19 y.o. daughter were able to figured out the instructions.[...]Overall we are satisfied with the purchase, though some parts desire to be better quality.

Quality was better than I was expecting. I read reviews about being difficult to assemble. I had the entire bed and headboard done in a little over an hour. There are a lot of pieces but it is no more difficult than the many Sauder products I have assembled in the past. Very pleased with the product.

I bought this set for my almost 3 year old daughter as her first "big girl" bed. It arrived in two boxes and in perfect condition. It took me (with the help of my daughter) about 2 hours to put both pieces together, which isn't bad since she kept taking the tools. I love that it isn't too high off the ground for her. It is made out of MDF type of wood, but it is thicker and stronger than others that I have seen. I am very impressed with how sturdy it is and now plan on getting the chest of drawers to match.

Directions were very user friendly. Would have liked the drawers and drawer bottoms to be solid wood, not particle board, but otherwise very good quality.
