      I bought this bed for my 10yo granddaughter before reading the reviews. I worried that it would be too juvenile for her as all reviews stated it was a good transitional bed for their toddlers. My 10yo loves it! She's very happy. Design (w/ headboard) is very feminine. Drawers have flower designed pulls. It's very sturdy. A bit difficult to put together as so many pcs. of wood. A few pcs. (hardware) were missing, but able to find missing pcs in store & finish assembly. Took approx. 4 hrs. to put together. Box to bed is extremely heavy! Finished product is super nice! Adding a mattress, sheets & spread that my 10yo picked out herself made for blissful happiness!! We all luv this bed!!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I did mess up slightly, so be careful when attaching the drawer pulls: don't over-tighten! I stripped the thread a bit on one of them, but a bit of silicone helped fix that[...]
