These reviews are the reason I bought this product over others. After receiving my order we took down our old bed, opened the box and began setting the pieces out. The three boards that make up the platform were all cracked in half. So i had to request replacments and sleep on my mattress on the floor for 2 weeks waiting for my replacement parts. I finally received the replacements yesterday and began putting it together. After trying to put it together and the screws stripping out and splitting the boards I decided that the reviews on here must be made up. It's definitely not the quality that the reviews suggest. I am completely put out and upset that i wasted this money. We didn't use a power drill or anything like that, just a regular screwdriver, which by the way, the heads on the screws are too small and you need a tiny screwdriver that isn't made for screwing into wood. Also my husband is very construction minded, he has been building homes for 15+ years so it's not that he didn't know what he was doing which was suggested to him by customer service when he called to complain about the product. Also they told him it could be because he put it together without the headboard, which you can clearly see, it doesn't have to have a headboard or perhaps they wouldn't sell it without one. Regardless, don't buy this. I'll let you know if they follow thru with their customer service guarantee.

Bought this bed for one of my daughters who doesn't have a large room. I am a single mom and put this bed together by myself. It took around 2 hours, but was worth it. The platform is very sturdy. The only con I have to say, is when putting it together, one of the steps in the instructions should let you know once done with the sides and inner boards, you need to flip the whole thing over. They are showing the bottom up, but you don't know that. So, needless to say, I never did that part. Bed still seems to be solid. (just a few miner problems with this).

I was hoping the quality would be better, but it's not. It takes two people to assemble and help hold parts in place. Mine was missing some screws and plastic screw caps. Some of the pre-drilled holes weren't drilled all the way through, so I used my drill to finish the job. Some parts, like the molding around the top were a pain to screw down. You have to do it from the underside of the overhang. Overall quality is cheaper than expected. I can't recommend this bed for anyone, there are better ones for the money.

I liked this product's look and the reviews were more positive than negative so I went ahead with my purchase. I have to say I'm not thrilled with this product; doesn't look as nice as pictured & it's a real bear to put together, & the side rails don't cover as much of the support board as I would prefer. I would highly suggest that anyone wanting to purchase, don't purchase unless you have someone to assist. This is a real pain for one person and it doesn't help the directions are lousy.

I like nice things. So my next purchase will most likely be of a King size platform frame Japanese style. Eventually all beds in my home will become platform style.

Used as primary bed and fits nicely in a room that is not the master and doesn't have much space. Had slight assembly issues due to pre-drilled holes not aligning correctly. Was able to assemble by myself without power tools
