This is a good product. It's not the really cheap material that little scuffs show particle board or something li
ke it. Once put together this is about a 80# beast. It's nice having one (or two to balance out the room/separate liquor types) to finally free up space in the pantry and all those wine bottles from the kitchen counter top.
Expect about a hour and a half if you have everything out of the box and organized. I typically put the parts around the room by numerical value (they have a little stamp on them for referencing in the manual). I also used a drill turned down to almost the lowest setting so I didn't strip out any screws or anything. This will also depend on how familiar you are with putting this stuff together, building by picture book, and your personal skill level.
Helpful Build Notes:
The manual walks you through building the frame first, then you move the heavy part into the frame and bolt together. You could do this a couple different ways and I will suggest if you are doing this alone, setting the frame on its side, and sliding the bottom storage in, lining up the holes and screwing everything together. Do be cautious doing it this way through as I scuffed the side of bottom storage on the mounting holes (now this side is up against the wall). If you have another person have one person hold it and the other screw it together. Another option would be to place a spacer between the bottom portion and the floor and keep adding books or whatever you need to to get it up to the height needed. It's just a little awkward to do by yourself due to the weight, positioning, and bolting everything together.
Great piece of display furniture. Good quality and I'm very happy to have two (one for whiskeys/bourbons and one for Rums/Vodkas. The drawer has a felt lined bottom (the only real kinda flimsy part) but fortunately the color matches our wall (red). There is some nice storage for bottle openers, wine openers, etc etc. This obviously will not keep curious kids from being able to access your adult beverages/mixers but that is not an issue for us right now.
