This was not as hard to put together as the nightstand was, but STILL nothing was labeled to match the directions. Still, was able to put it together and it looks great...now waiting for the twin extra long mattress to come. Would get 5 STARS if the parts were all labeled like they show in the instructions.

I bought these for my two boys ages 13 and 9. My 13 yr old is 5'9 and 150 lbs. The XL length is perfect for him and with no base board his legs have more room. It is the size of a queen bed without the width. My 9 yr old tends to put too much in his draws and sometimes the bottom pushes out. Under normal use the draws are sturdy and should not cause any problem. The draws are also very smooth.

Good for a room where you need that extra drawer space. Also nice not to have to purchase a box spring or bed frame.
Bed is hard to move on carpet due to the way it sits on several supports and all sides.

The bed assembly was slowed when I discovered the holes in one of the bed end panels were pre-drilled in the wrong locations for the metal bracket that attached. I had to drill new holes that lined up with the holes in the metal bracket. Otherwise everything went together as it was suppose to.
The drawer bottoms are made of a thin material - if you place anything with weight in the drawers I would recommend reinforcing the drawer bottoms with 3/8" thick plywood as I did to make them sturdy. I glued the plywood to the underside of the 1/8" thick material that comes with the drawer.

We purchased this bed online for our college aged son. [...].My son was enjoying his last few days of vacation before school began and was not looking forward to spending his time assembling a bed! I (his mother)decided to take on the task, while he was out of the house, and was completely impressed at the ease of assembly. This is normally frustrating for me, but not this time. The instructions were precise and easy to follow. I actually told my husband I had fun putting the bed together.My son says the bed is comfortable and the extra storage drawers are a real plus.I would definitely recommend this bed and would have no hesitation purchasing a product from this company again.

160 pound 13 year old user, at first was unsure if the bed would work for him as he felt he needed to be very careful getting on or off for fear of breaking it. Seems ok now, its been a few days and he doesnt seem as nervous, so its support seems to be suitable.

We (my son and I) put the bed together ourselves and the instructions were VERY easy to understand. Time consuming but so straight forward with pictures that are dummy proof.
