This was the bed and headboard set my 12-year-old daughter selected. She selected it because of the drawers under the platform bed and the shelves on the headboard. Easy to assemble, but we are disappointed with the quality of the particle board. I don't expect this furniture to last very long. It also came with some chips in the black furnish, and apparently it's expected by the manufacturer because they include a black magic marker to fill in these types of nicks and chips. The hardware is well made and will well outlast the "wood". Also, we were disappointed that the bed didn't fit into the opening in the headboard so there is a gap. With all this, though, my daughter is very happy with her how her room turned out.

I bought this bed for my six-year old daughter's room, after researching online comprehensively. I read every review and was a little nervous about the amount of time it took other people to assemble. However, it only took me two hours from start to finish (I had an electric drill and a husband to take the kids out!) The bed is beautiful, solid and the drawers roll easily. I'm glad I got a bed with no drawer pulls for extra safety. I feel like this bed will last her until she moves out!!

This product was purchased for my teenagers room - she loves it.
