This bench was just what I needed. It fills a small space next to my secretary's desk. It is very sturdy. I use it to store a few throw blankets and it is perfect for that. It is also a bench so I use it as such. I may get a bench pillow to put on top to make sitting a little more comfortable but it is just fine without it.
It really looks nice. It is very well made and you can't go wrong with it. It is priced right, too! I am really glad I bought this bench.

I actually bought this bench to use at my new keyboard instead of at the end of a bed. It is the perfect height to sit comfortably at the keyboard where most benches are too short. I also needed something sturdy so when my 2-year-old climbed on it to play, it wouldn't tip over. I put it together myself (2-year-old helped) in about 20 minutes. It was very simple. It is a laminate like most ready-to-assemble furniture but this seemed much sturdier than others I have put together. It has nice finishing features to make it look less like all the other r-t-a products. The only real negatives I have are that the top edge (front & back) aren't as smooth as I would like them and the color is a little darker than most maple finishes I have seen so it doesn't match the maple finish on the keyboard as well as I had hoped. But it still looks nice and will do well for our purpose.
