We bought this bedroom set for my teenage daughter's bedroom with the hopes of her being able to take it to college with her in a couple of years. The expresso finished MDF appears very sturdy for engineered wood and is very beaufiful. My daughter has been showing off her room to all of her friends who also love it. It took my husband and daughter about six hours to put the entire set together, but it was well worth it for the finished product and the price. All of the parts were included in the packaging. The only complaint was that a couple of pages of the directions were missing or the shading on the diagrams were backwards which made assembly difficult at one point. Otherwise, we would recommend this set for anyone with champagne taste on a beer budget! In fact, we are going to purchase another 6 drawer dresser for this set, because my daughter has too many clothes!!!

I purchased this to go with the platform bed. It completes the look nicely. I put it together by myself in about a half hour. The backing is really a two person job, though I managed. Be careful to get the nails center when attaching the backing or they will be visible under the surface of the headboard.

I bought this because I wanted to try a bookcase headboard without spending a lot of money. I've put together a half dozen similar items like this--office desks, computer desks and filing cabinets--so I knew what I was getting into. The instructions are a little weak in some places, but if you keep in mind what it's supposed to look like when you're done it'll be okay. If it lasts three years I will have only spent a little over $50 a year for it; I can save up enough to buy a more expensive headboard by then. And I don't have to worry about scratches in the meantime. It works for me,your milage may vary.
