It is very attractive for the price we paid. I had researched this product and this bed frame with drawars underneath was more than comparable to other retailers. The free shipping was an added bonus. Very pleased!!!!

We bought the double size bed with drawers and headboard shelves. Two things: When you push the bed all the way into the headboard, you cannot use the first drawer on each side???? Why even have the drawer then? Also, if you don't push the bed all the way in there is a gap between the head and the headboard. So, my daughter is losing her pillows everynight down this big gap!

Not very satified with this design. What have others done to avoid this? Extra pillows?

The look of the bed is great. It's comfortable. But when my husband and I assembled the drawers they wouldnt fit flush to the frame like they should. 3 our of 6 of the drawers stick out on one side. We did everything right and we can only guess that its a manufactering defect. So, that part of the appearance isnt so nice and it also hurts when u walk by the bed and hit ur leg or foot on the part of the drawer thats sicking out.I'm trying to call customer service about it but the recording says they are closed even though they open at 8am and it is now 9am. Maybe its a differant time zone. I will keep trying.

Bought this for a guest bedroom. I have assembled well over 100 pieces of furniture over the years. These instructions were the BEST ever. Everything was clearly explained with image detail. Even the drawer runners were an easy install (in most cases I get it wrong the first time).

Purchased this product because I have a very small room and needed a place to put away my clothes. The bed takes up the entire room and the drawer are deep and fits lots of clothing. Only problem we saw was the bookshelf was not designed to take into consideration bottom molding so we have to purchase an anchor. Also, the bookshelf does not have pre cut holes for wires. we are currently sleeping with the wires on our heads. The most disappointing was the finish was easily scratched. When we put the bookshelf up, you have to put it upside down, it scratched the first time we laid it down. We were trying to be so careful realizes the finish is poor quality. Even with blankets to protect it and lifting every time we still saw more scratches. We have to purchase a cover up for all the scratches. But all in all we like the storage space and the comfy bed.

My 86 year old dad got it stuck in his head that he HAD to have a bed with drawers under it. He had a stroke and thought this would help him getting ready in the morning. Having his underwear, socks, etc. at his fingertips would be a plus. The only problem was, he needed a twin bed to fit in the room, wanted one with extra length, and most captain's beds are really made for kid's rooms (weight wise). This was the ONLY extra long captain's bed that I found in the nation! And it holds up to 250 pounds. So this bed was the ticket.

This captain's bed is your typical assemble-yourself kit. It did have very detailed instructions, but we still found it rather hard and time-consuming to assemble. It did take two people to put it together. We bought the bed, headboard/bookshelf, and nightstand.

The only thing my dad didn't like was he wished it was about two inches higher (and the double drawer height bed would have been TOO high for him). Also, with the nightstand beside it, you can't get the drawer closest to the nightstand pulled out because it hits the nightstand (and it is non-functional to put the nightstand on the non-drawer side of the bed).

This product is "good enough." Looks nice and works in the room. Quality is good...not "real wood," obviously, but works for our purposes. If you need a captain's bed, this one will do the job and is quite functional. The price was right, too.
