Prepac Manufacturing
In 1979, Steve Simpson created Prepac Manufacturing by creating pre-finished products including custom print and finished particle board shelving for the construction industry. In the early 1980s, Prepac Manufacturing jumped into the RTA (ready to assemble) storage market for the home center industry. After this proved to be a successful business venture, Prepac took the RTA storage units to the national market. By 1999, the company found a need for quicker and more efficient shipment options. Prepac Manufacturing began their drop-shipment program, which provides customers with factory-direct shipments with fast turn-around times. Today, Prepac has continued its growth within the ready-to-assemble market, becoming one of the largest RTA manufacturers in North America.
