Wow..construction of this was more than I had bargined for! 18 or so parts for the case itself, and that doesn't include all the hardware to assemble it! After you get everything sorted out, assembly wasn't awful, but the directions were lacking in some areas. I would suggest having 2 people to assemble, or ways to account for a second pair of hands..especially when trying to put the doors on the hinges!! I did it myself, but definitely would have been easier with 2 sets of hands.

The only things I can really complain about is the lack of predrilled holes for the outer lock (with the key) and the lock for the other door. The key lock on mine is a little crooked since I was doing it myself..nothing major. The lock for the other door required me to use some super glue to help hold it in place. It worked, but if the door got pulled on, the screws would pull out, thus allowing the door to open, and since the point of the cabinet for me was to keep my 2 year old out of it, I couldn't allow it to stay that way. Also, unless locked, the doors don't stay completely closed. I was a little disappointed when I discovered the doors were the push in kind with the magnet, but that was my misconseption.

Like the color, like the design. However, the lock busted after only a week so the key lock feature is worthless. Also the aux latch for the other side is extremely hard to lock/unlock when you have DVD's on the door shelf.

This is a nice cabinet for storing dvd's/xbox games. [...] The door with the slide latch does not align properly, but with a drill was easily able to adjust the hole and it worked fine. The latch is cheap plastic and I was disappointed as I expected a cabinet with a lock that locked/closed both doors, not a slide latch.

This is a good product for storing all of my DVDs in a neat and organized manner, and I like the fact that it's all hidden from view, making the living room seem much less cluttered.

However, there are a couple flaws that make this product imperfected. For one, a finishing marker is provided in the box, because the black finish on the wood scratches too easily. Even the most careful installation leads to little scuffs and marks, requiring the use of the marker to clean it up, but it does a poor job.

Second, the instructions lacked the detail needed to assemble the cabinet doors correctly. I was careful in trying to figure out which pieces connected to eachother, but when I realized they were not right, I ended up taking things apart and trying other options. It got to a point where the doors were upside-down (the lock on the door was not on the top of the cabinet) , I got annoyed at taking it apart, and decided to forget about it and just leave the lock on the bottom; I didn't need it anyway.

So, in summary, I appreciate the cabinet's utility and design, but dislike how easily it scratches and how lacking the assembly instructions were. I'd recommend this product to those that aren't too concerned with perfection, but are looking for a decent storage option.

The product is just the right size to hide your home DVD collection. Holds a lot of DVDs for the size and keeps them neat and orderly. The unit arrives with a lot of parts but has easy to follow instructions.
