This was the headboard and bed set my 12-year-old daughter selected. She selected it because of the drawers under the platform bed and the shelves on the headboard. Easy to assemble, but we are disappointed with the quality of the particle board. I don't expect this furniture to last very long. It also came with some chips in the black furnish, and apparently it's expected by the manufacturer because they include a black magic marker to fill in these types of nicks and chips. The hardware is well made and will well outlast the "wood". Also, we were disappointed that the bed didn't fit into the opening in the headboard so there is a gap.

I really think it looks great and has storage space. I bought it for my daughter who loves black. I bought it for our summer home and she likes it so much that I bought her the same one for our primary residence.

I am very happy with this purchase! Easy to put together. My son loves it. It does scratch easily so be careful when putting it together. I needed a replacement part and Prepac sent it to me within 2 business days. No questions asked. Great company, nice product. Well worth the money. We found these headboards to be the cheapest around and I shopped online for several months and also in furniture stores. They are well made for the money and look great in the room. The only problem we encountered was the front pieces to the headboard were missing the holes for the screws. My husband used a nail gun to attach it and used a marker to cover the nail. Overall, it is worth the money you pay [...].

It serves it's purpose for a child's bed...could be a little sturdier but it was not purchased to keep for the next 10 years.
