I store most of my huge (4 thousand) DVD collection in a sleeve system that is cataloged on the computer. However, many of the TV series and DVD special editions come with really nice boxes that beg to be displayed; this unit is perfectly qualified for this type of storage and looks great. I've also scattered some movie memorabilia along the shelves ( miniature movie monsters, classic muscle cars, etc.), which helps to create quite the conversation piece.

We looked everywhere for something like this, but no stores in our area had anything even remotely resembing what we were looking for. It was always bookshelves, which waste a lot of space if all that's being stored on them are DVDs. We could not be happier with this product. This is a great looking CD storage rack. It was very easy to assemble. Now all our CD's are in one place. (it's almost full) It is quiet sturdy and we love the low profile against the wall. I would definately recommend this wall unit for large collections. I would not hesitate to buy another one as our collection continues to grow.

Using this media storage rack to neatly organize a DVD collection of over 500 titles, a growing Blu-Ray collection of 40 titles, and there's even room for what's left of my old VHS collection. The size of the unit isn't as impressive as the amount of DVD/Blu-Ray/VHS titles it can store. In reality, the unit is quite low profile as the media fits perfectly without any excess depth on the shelves to speak of. Should you wish to have a single type of media occupy the whole rack, this may not be the ideal solution, unless you don't mind having a row with uneven gaps/shelf spacing.

this product is well built and has an attractive design. It's rounded edges give it a more refined and distinguished look rather than just having plain boards screwed together. It's base is a bit deeper to add support but the tower portion is only 6 1/2 inches deep, allowing us to use it to line our long narrow hallway and make use of the hallway space. Be advised, these are NOT top wood furniture; however, for price and for how well they serve the purpose of displaying and storing DVDs and CDs, who really cares? These work very well -- and from a foot away, look exactly like the top furniture racks that cost hundreds -- if not thousands -- of dollars more.
