Home Styles Furniture Mayfair Bed in Cherry
- Shopper in
After searching the internet for hours to buy twin beds for my 2.5 year old son and 4.5 year old daughter, I chose the Home Styl
es Mayfair bed in cherry for my son and the white for my daughter. I really wanted to stay as cheap as possible; however I absolutely despise buying junk furniture that falls apart, so I was hoping this would be the balance between the two. [...] and assembly was very easy. I have had a lot of experience with kit furniture, and these beds are one of the better designed pieces I have seen. The hardware is good quality and all the pieces matched up exactly. Once assembled, I found myself saying that the beds were rather impressive, very nice looking as well as soundly build. I am 200 lbs plus and the beds don’t even move when I get in bed to read to my kids, my kids by the way think they are now the biggest kids in the world with their grown up beds. Hopefully being real wood combined with great construction, the beds will be around for many years to come. Interesting enough, I believe these bed frames will accommodate extended twin mattresses (never heard of until I saw that these were longer than the twin mattresses I purchased), which is a nice feature as I assume my kids will be near six feet tall, so yet another great feature that will allow me to keep these around for a long time.Overall I would have to say I am totally happy with these beds. I tend to think the cherry finish beds seems to be slightly better quality than the white (which is actually a cream color), compared to the other beds I looked at, these appear to be the best value for the money. One bit of advice, make life easier and use a real 13mm wrench to tighten the sideboard nuts, as the wrench provided was the only disappointment encountered.

Atlantic Furniture Windsor Platform Bed with Open Footrail Wood
- Shopper in
New York, NY
I had my eye on this bed frame in the white finish, which most carriers do not have. I purchased this in a full size for my room
. [...]The headboard came fully assembled and was the largest of the four boxes that arrived. The rest, while heavier and somewhat cumbersome, were not too difficult to move one at a time as needed. I am a young woman and I took my time putting this bed together by myself, since I'm not a natural "builder." Literally the only tool the customer needs is a Phillips screwdriver. Otherwise, all the Allen wrenches are provided. The frame itself is simple to put together and I liked the fact that they include both the short and tall legs for the footrail, depending on whether you have a box spring or just the mattress (I have the latter). The most difficult part is putting together the wooden slats and center supports but even that is not overly complicated - just tedious. The finished product is absolutely lovely and extremely sturdy. I couldn't be more thrilled!
