Pine is one of the more inexpensive types of wood, but many people love the rustic finish of pine. It is a lighter softwood, and is fast growing and quite renewable. It is likely the most common wood used in any form of furniture. Pine is easy to work with because it is so soft, however it doesn’t do too well outdoors (It’s probably a good idea to keep your headboard in your bedroom). All in all, pine is the best value, and high quality wood headboards are made from it.

Sizes of Pine Headboards

Like other headboards, Pine Headboards come in a few different sizes, most notably Twin, Double, Queen, King and California King. Make sure you are shopping for the appropriately sized headboard for your mattress or bed. California King and King Size are not the same, California King is 4 inches thinner (but longer).
