        I used the Weber 18.5 inch for YEARS before getting this. I really considered upgrading substantially to a ceramic grill, but the Weber design is just too versatile and durable. I love charcoal, and this lets me do two whole chickens and a small rack of pork ribs- all indirect heat. It makes for tasty meats with darn near no clean-up.

        I have a friend that was given an 8 year weber grill that his dad had, and he has ben using it for more than 10 years. I have never saw a grill last so long before. I won a small 18" weber grill at a raffle 2 years ago and gave it to my son because it was to small for me. The only beef I have about the grill, is the front leg will fall out if you lift up on the grill to move it. I put a screw in the legs to keep them in place. Problem Solved.

          I bought this grill so I could charcoal my food instead of cooking with my gas grill. Gas is fine, but charcoal makes food taste so much better! This grill is perfect for me. Mine is blue (looks like a big grape), and I've found it easy to use, quick to clean up, and completely portable. it's my new best friend!

              The best thing is the thermometer on the outside of the hood, even better than my gas grill. The grilling surface is huge, so cooking ribs or utilizing indirect cooking is easy, so big that you can put a drip pan underneath next to the coals. Well built, works well, this grill will last for years. Smoking with chips is so easy with the chip holders on the perimeter and the chips last longer in the chip holders giving way more flavor to the meat. There's an ash collection device that makes clean up so much easier than other grills. I was against my husband buying it because it just seemed to big for the two of us, but now I'm glad he did.
