      Greetings...[...] The photograph was not exactly true. For instance,I purchased a queen-sized mattress and box spring. When you use that with this bed, it will make the bed about 31" off of the floor - a bit high. There should be some instruction that you may want to go with a lower mattress to get the same look in the picture. But the movers provided the slates and made it work.I'm thinking now, that to get the look in the picture, you'd need maybe a 12" mattress. This bed was for my brother, who hired me to decorate his place. He loves both the bed and the side table. The rich stain and wood were perfect for him. With so many people into the chocolate rage this blends in perfectly. So basically, everyone's happy with the bed; however, the mattress is super key.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
