First chest arrived damaged on 12/11/12. Delivery company's contract only involved dropping off item in box so be aware that if box is visably damaged all you can do is note damage on receiving documents....went through email/phone/photo process to have new chest sent which was tedious.

1/8/13 replacement chest arrived and it was in good shape. Be aware that due to the type of wood being used, the fronts of the drawers can show "veining" that may not be acceptable to some customers. Second chest had minor variations on front. Overall, we are satisifed with final product..just be aware that replacement process can be taxing.

Chest was delivered via moving van and delivery team placed box inside the house. They stated that their contract did not allow them to upack the chest but they did take photos of apparent damage to box and we noted on delivery ticket.

Upon unpacking we noticed that the main support on the right side of the chest had a split. It looked like the split occurred at the factory because minimum box damage did not indicate that this type of damage could have been done in transit.

Called Cymax to set up a replacement (we like the chest)and return the damaged chest.They said to take pictures and email them which we did. They then confirmed that they received pictures and passed the case on to a "resolution agent". Resolution agent confirmed that he received proper documentation and said we should be notified in 48 hours of replacement delivery date. That was ten days ago...after six phone calls and ten follow up emails we have still not heard back from "resolution agent" Toby as to status of replacement.

We are not impressed with Cymax support teams..I talked to at least six different employees and they all had the same story "you will hear back tomorrow from agent".

Chest was what we expected and color was good. Grain pattern on drawers was obvious but not overstated.

We give the chest (if not damaged) four stars.

We give Cymax customer support ZERO stars.

I couldn't ask for more from this dresser. It is constructed of very thick, very substantial wood and comes in an espresso finish that is a beautiful dark brown color. The drawers are deep and easy to push/pull. I bought it to go with some other espresso furniture I already owned in our master bedroom and was worrying about the stain matching - but it matches perfectly!
