    This Lucca Storage Platform Bed has a luxurious leather upholstered headboard. Contemporary in design, it is not only beautiful but practical as well, it maximizes under bed storage without sacrificing space, quality, or cost. It features an industry-leading hydraulic lift mechanism to reveal a hidden compartment under the bed's platform that makes it ideal for a room where additional storage space is needed.

    The Lucca Collection is constructed from quality hardwood frames and features center leg supports and discreet metal-to-metal side rail brackets.  All headboard backs are fully upholstered for use against a wall or floating in a room. This impressive array of beds creates new design opportunities on its own or in conjunction with the rest of Modus' bedroom offerings.

      The bed arrived in great shape. It's well constructed, very sturdy. The hydraulics work like a dream with a very heavy latex bed. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but, assembly wasn't a problem. It's a one man job except for dropping in the metal framework. It's a synthetic leather, but, very attractive and much nicer and richer looking than I was expecting. It's very stylish looking and looks great in the room. The storage area will be very handy and is quite usable.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        a heavy memory foam mattress makes it difficult to lift often--helpful to get a support 2X4 to keep under bed for access ease when lifting

        Leather is "pleathery" but still very attractive for price point

        We received the bed right on time - good follow up from Cymax and good buying experience. The bed is what we expected. It's solid and seems to be of good quality, although the lethear is not made of the finest grain. It took a few hours to put it together, he instructions are basic but accurate. Good storage space.
