Despite any other comments I might make here about difficulties during the assembly process, this is intended to be a positive review for solid product. You know it isn't made of compressed wood parts the moment you try to handle the boxes it comes in (2 boxes, one for the head and foot boards, one for the side rails and supports). The finish and polish on all visible parts was very nice, it smelled more expensive than what I paid! As with many of these DIY assembly kits, the design of the attachment of the side rails to the head and foot boards doesn't allow for easy use of a standard screwdriver, so be sure to have an s-shaped one that allows you to operate in small spaces. I've also read some reviews that found the supporting slats to be weak and I can see how that might be a problem because the slats provided are fairly thin. However I use this bed with a boxframe & mattress combo and have had no issues with stability and would recommend that it be used this way. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the bed; it doesn't have a lot of detailing in the head or tail boards but you should be able to see that in the pictures of the bed before buying it. It does exactly what I expected it to - a good solid bed frame that looks at least a couple of hundred dollars more expensive than what it actually was. Good value for money.

Would like a bit better construction, but the frame is attractive and strong enough with five supporting slats. I found the best price at Cymax. Be careful of returning the product as it will cost you to ship it back if you simply do not want it. Cymax did work with me with a reasonable refund since I ordered another bed frame...they arranged pick up at their price. It you ship it yourself...good luck!

This bed is beautiful! Its very comfy & sturdy. Im 6 ft & 250lbs. & holds me very nicely(& my 2 children who like to sneak in bed with me). I havent heard any type of squeaky sounds from it & was very easy to put together.

This bed has a classic style and nice finish, not to dark or light. It was very comparable to pottery barn's sumatra bed frame which is what I was looking for but didn't want to pay the price.
I will be adding at least 3 more slats for better support.
Overall, I am happy with this bed frame.

This bed is attractive and easy to assemble. However, the Queen size came with only 3 rather flimsy support slats for the mattress. Two broke the first time my 6'2'' boyfriend sat on it. We had to replace them with 4 heavier duty slats we had cut to size at our local hardware store. This problem should definately be addressed by the manufacturer!

Reviews help me make decisions when I am buying new things so here you go... my husband and I got this bed about 2 months ago and we love it. It looks great in our room and is really easy to match other furniture with. The bed is very sturdy (my husband is 6'8") and the bed has not made a sound. The only problem we had is it took longer then expected to arrive. The bed itself really is a great bed and the wood is really attractive. Hope this helped
