Bench is very nice. The color is a little more red than I wanted and one of the bolts was defective. It is a special bolt so you can't buy it and when I tried to contact the manufacturer I couldn't reach a person. I left 2 messages and no one returned my call. Overall it is a very nice bench for the price.

This storage bench is ideal for front vestibule with attractive design and lots of storage beneath 2 flip-up panels as seating. The dark wood finish has the appearance of finer pieces of storage benches seen on other websites.[...]The low back could be 12" - 18" higher in order to provide back support when sitting up on the bench. Offering either a storage section or 2- shoe rack shelves below the seating panels would provide some flexibility in functional use for this benach.We would recommend this bench to anyone needing seating/storage for mittens, hats, scarves.

We put it on our covered back porch and use the storage to keep shoes & sandals. We enjoy sitting on it and enjoy the afternoon breeze. It also looks very nice & like a high quality piece of furniture there. We just had it for a few weeks and hope that it will last a long time at the outdoor since it's protected from rain and sun.

We needed a storage area by the entrance to the house for all of our shoes. While searching for a storage trunk at another site, I saw this storage bench as a suggested item. I felt it would be a better fit for what we needed. Reviews for this product won me over, and Cymax had the lowest price [...]! I would say that the price is fair considering the quality of the item and ease of assembly. My husband put it together and he only complained about a couple of pre-drilled holes on the particle board on the side pieces of the storage bench not lining up perfectly with the pre-drilled holes on the wood it was attached to, so my husband had to shave the particle board a little bit to be able to attach the back board to both side pieces. [...] There are a few scratches here and there--the majority of the scratches are on the interior of the bench [...]. Nothing major or awful though and you cannot tell unless you're really looking up close at the bench. The bench interior is roomy and holds all of our shoes with room for other small items..like a diaper bag. It's sturdy and I like the safety hinge feature because of our kids. No issues with the lids rubbing with each other or other parts of the bench. The color, however, is not anywhere near the color shown in the picture or in the description. It's definitely a strong reddish brown color. Still happy with the bench as it comes close to matching the other furniture in the room.

This bench fits perfectly in my very small foyer. It still leaves room for entering and is a sturdy piece. A high class piece for a low budget price.
