Well made solid wood and will last a long time. This table and chair set is solid, wood luster and sheen very good quality. It had to be assembled, but alas! I did it myself and was quite pleased with the results! Definitely am recommending!

The table and chairs are beautiful. Assembly of chairs took about 1 hour. Table was going quickly---until I realized (after an hour of trying) that the hole in one leg--for bolt was too shallow. I had to go buy a drill and drill bit to make hole deep enough to finish final leg.

Our grandchildren use this set for meals during our large family gatherings and they can use it for a craft table as long as it is protected with an oil cloth or plastic table covering. It is attractive enough to use for more formal meals.

My daughter needed a desk to do all her arts and craft projects but I needed something attractive and not childish looking. The desk looks great and the set is very sturdy -plus it looks great in a family room with our other furniture.
