We purchased this for our home office, which is in our master bedroom. We had a very difficult time finding something attractive as well as decent quality, that didn't cost over $1000. This Kathy Ireland piece fit the bill very well. It is very good quality, all solid wood and particle board, with no flimsy veneers. The back of the cabinet is somewhat finished but does look better against a wall. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the screws for the drawer pulls were too long (my husband had to use a tool to cut them shorter, which he fortunately already owned), and the actual color of the piece is MUCH, MUCH darker than the photo on the website. The color is really too dark to go with the rest of my furniture; when I was purchasing the cabinet and judging by the photo, I was concerned that it would be too LIGHT--that is how much the coloring in the photo is off. Take a look at the entire Kathy Ireland Tribeca Loft collection...some of the photos of the other pieces are a little more true to the actual color of the line. Look at the darkest photo and you will have a better idea of what the color actually looks like. Fortunately the style of the cabinet coordinates well enough with the rest of my furniture that we do not feel we need to send it back, plus it is the highest quality of any file cabinet we found in this price range. This is a very nice piece of furniture.
