These shelves are fine. They're not exactly Stickley or Ethan Allen, but I didn't assume they would be. I was impressed with the delivery. It was described as "White Glove" and it was: the units arrived in boxes, the units were in good condition because of this, and the delivery personnel took them out of the boxes and took the boxes away. These were delivered to an office, and so they had to bring them up to a second level.

My concern is with the hinges, which are REALLY low-end. At this point in time, soft hinges are about $2.25 each. Really? The manufacturer couldn't have added these for such a small amount of money? As a result of NOT having soft hinges, the lower cabinetry doors just slam shut. This creates an impression of a rather low-end product when, with such a small fix, the overall product would come off as much more tasteful and professional.

We purchased these books shelves as a set to fit on a large wall in the dining room. It is perfect and we get lots of compliments on them.
