    We ordered three of these stools for our kitchen counter. I looked at many stools before making the purchase. What I liked about these were the mortise and tendon construction showing in the seat of the chair. It made them look more expensive versus many others that screw together and have caps covering the screws. Unfortunately, while the stools are glued versus screwed, they do not look like the pictures as the tendons are not visable. Further, the clear coat finish was inconsistent and had bare spots. Overall, the imperfections were not enough to return, but I am not completely happy with them.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Joints looked to be dovetailed in pictures, but were actually foe stained on spots instead. Would have liked to know that.

    Also rungs are hard on bare feet when square, would prefer rounded. But otherwise it was an attrative stool that is basic and inexpensive.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
