The early workings of Howard Miller Total Home began in 1926 in Zeeland, Michigan. Trained by his father as a clock maker, Howard Miller began to create his own clocks at the age of 21. With a zeal for perfection, Miller developed a flair for avant garde clock designs, some of which adorn collector’s galleries today. He later joined forces with Ford Motor Company during World War II producing anti-aircraft covers. During the 1960s, Miller returned to his clock making roots with the production of grandfather clocks. Nearly thirty years later, he turned his attention to cabinet-making using glass and hardwoods with the same attention to detail that he put into his clocks. Since then, the Howard Miller furniture company has teamed up with designers like Ty Pennington to create a wonderful collection of TV stands.
