This is an attractive unit that I bought in the white color and use for storage/organization in the laundry room. It's nice furniture for the first-time furniture buyer on a budget. It is all-wood,fits well in a smaller space. The drawers glide smoothly in/out--a hallmark of decent furniture, especially assemble-it-yourself units.

I wish it came in a larger size, but then we'd just get more stuff.

Assembly is simple, but only if you FIRST READ ALL THE DIRECTIONS. The directions are well thought out, all pieces are labeled, and extra screws, fasteners, etc. are included. Screw holes are pre-drilled, the drawer pieces come with the glides already attached. You really can put this unit together with just a Phillips screwdriver, but I found some that some wood glue (the back stretcher piece came in two interlocking pieces), also glued in the front dowels, and a small power drill really helped with the final tightening. Just don't try to get ahead of yourself with the directions, follow them as written, maybe standing up the unit when they refer to assembling some pieces together on the floor to get at the back screws.
