Words can't describe how ridiculous the design was on this stand. I did A TON of research for a tv stand. This was as close as I was going to get to exactly what I wanted. Great price and i even was able to use a discount offer i found online[...] I started to put it together with a friend but we had tons of trouble. I read the review that talked about the cams breaking which was a major problem we had. I also had a very badly bowed piece (the long piece that goes along the bottom front).[...]I went and purchased some packs of the steel cams at [...]. Now the moment of truth to put it all together. The new cams worked great (I only wish I would have bought a packs or two more). We still had the same problem of not being able to get the large top piece completely into place into the unit. I noticed the two wood pieces that hold the magnetic doors were in the way of the top to fully fit. I decided to take them off. BAM, the whole thing went together. After a closer look I realized they were on the wrong location to do their intended job. Not only had they put the screw holes in the wrong place but they had the same, wrong location being shown on the instruction sheet. Who was the half brain idiot who did this? You can either glue the wood pieces on the right locations of the two pieces or crew them in. I recommend screwing them in but use sharp edges screws since there are not pre drilled guide holes. I would recommend this stand to anyone who reads this review and takes the precautions while putting it together.

I use this caabinet to sit my 58" Plasma TV on as well as house my blue ray, WII, VCR, CD player, media center computer and related entertainment stuff. It is quite beautiful to look at but was very difficult to assemble and is not deep enough for my newer components. The pins often did not line up, the locks were flimsy and often bent. I knew it had these problems going in and was very careful during assembly but still had to make several modifications to complete the assembly. [...] The instructions could be clearer and more complete.

this was for my 55" Sony LCD, TV looks great on this stand. Great price, easy to assemble. only problems was the hinges on the doors were not lining up and doors didn't want o stay shut added a few washer on the hinges and solved the problem

This is a very good value and it looks great. The parts are all solid wood with nicely finished veneer (not fake laminate over particle board).[...] It takes some care to assemble, but if you have a little experience with ready-to-assemble furniture this should be manageable. The wood is fairly soft so don't over-tighten the screws or cams. It took almost as long to take all the parts out of the shipping boxes as it did to assemble. Only complaint: there was one threaded insert missing from a panel. I found a replacement at the hardware store for 45 cents. Note that the color is really much closer to a dark cherry stain than oak. I bought a bookshelf from another vendor that is "antique teak" and the two match almost exactly. Go figure.

The unit overall is a great piece of furniture. The weight of the unit needs a more structural attachment to hold the top piece to the sides. I purchased new metal cams from Lowes and they also cracked due to tyhe weight of the unit. I am now installing metal angle brackets inside the unit between the sides and the top, 4 brackets each side.

I'm happy with our Tv stand. You should have told us it was an canadian purchase thus subject to a[$]foriegn transaction charge. Also I contacted customer service 3 times to get a replacement part that was shipped incorrectly. Each time they were professional but inaccurate causing me time again to call back again and again.. that was a bit agrivating. Overall I would do it again.
