What's with the distressed wood?
What is the distressed wood, is it dents that
are imbedded in the wood, especially the top. I'm familiar with the little worm holes but not the nicks in the wood.

Looks beautiful! Could not wait for hubby to get home to help. So, I assembled it. Many pieces and heavy but directions were easy and it took about 2 1/2 hours to put together. Fits perfectly with my oak cabinets and brings a richness to kitchen

This island is just perfect for my kitchen!! Assembly was quite easy (although you do need two people). It is very sturdy and there is plenty of storage space. Delivery was super fast - this is the second time I have bought from this company ant I am now going to order stools for the island.

We purchased this unit to use for a 46 inch TV that's in our sunroom. We also wanted additional storage for kitchen appliances since we took out some appliance garages. The storage area was smaller than I would have liked. This was due to the outside small shelves. I've taken advantage of those displaying my copper and antique items so that worked out well. I had some taller items so I had to take out one of the shelves on each side to accommodate those. The color was a little darker than I expected. It also has distressing which I don't remember the description stating (which it might have). That added to the appeal once it was put together. It took two people to assemble as the top is relatively heavy. We don't use the drop leave at this time since we don't use it as a kitchen cart.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
