Assembly took awhile but you should expect it since this is shipped in pieces. I did not have any problems with the cam locks that other people complainrd about and the directions to assemble the product were simple to follow. The product was well packaged and there were no broken pieces or scrathes in the wood. The pieces has dowels in them plus the cam locks which makes this a sturdy product. The only problem that I had was the wood that supports the back panel. They have plastic inserts for the wood screws and some of the did come out when I screw the wood to the back. I had some slighly larger screws and it held the wood tight. Other then that it looks ggod and it is well built. It is a very good product for the money.

It appeared that 1 of the small panels of the main compartment was designed for a different piece of furniture. Fortunately I am handy and just had to re-drill 3 holes. Aside from that, everything was in perfect condition when it arrived. The cabinets are very sturdy and hold all of my books and A/V equipment. Superb price!!

I am very pleased with the unit overall. There was a couple of rough edges (quality control), it was missing one hinge altogether and the holes for the pier cabinet hinges was not drilled in the right place. It is a great addition to our family room and helped to organize and cut the clutter. I shopped around and it was a great bargin and looks more expensive that it was. I thought the cam-locks were a bit flimsy and broke a couple of them in assembling the product, there are a few extra encluded so it really wasn't a big problem.

[...]Cons:The problems started right away. Upon opening the first box, the entertainment stand, several pieces were broken. So the most important piece was unusable. So onward to the second box, one of the pier units. One of the plastic magnets was crushed. Then after we started putting it together, we found that one of the major pieces had all the holes drilled in the wrong spots. So another piece was completely unuable. The second pier unit went together without much incident. So out of 3 major pieces only 1 was usable.While the wood is very sturdy, and beautiful, the hardware (fasteners, screws) are very substandard materials. One of the metal fasteners crumbled when tighteneing.Would I order this brand again? After spending a very frustrating evening fighting with broken pieces, now having to wait 1-2 weeks for replacement parts so I can have something to set my TV on...... I don't think so.

We are very happy with this entertainment unit we purchased from the Cymax store. It fits our new 52-in HDTV perfectly. The seperate piers and stand design make it even possible for expansion in case we want to upgrade to a larger TV in the future. [...] requires assemble, the finish result is a very stylish an high-end looking, not to mention the assemble was very easy (having just assembled a computer desk the week prior gave us the authority to say that this is much easier!).
