After looking for over a year I came upon this desk on the Cymax website. I needed a desk that was no more than 44" wide and this was perfect at 42". The hutch is nice for extra storage. It's great for keeping my laptop on and for keeping bills to pay. It arrived very quickly, with no damage and I was really pleased with the sturdy construction as well as the reasonable price plus it is a lovely piece of furniture. I would certainly buy from Cymax again.

I love this desk...however, I did have some difficulty putting it together. Unfortunately, one of the pre-drilled leg holes didn't line up and I had to get my drill out and realign the holes. Another issue was that they include a small wrench for you to tighten the bolts. The wrench I received was too small for the bolts and was useless. Other than those issues, the desk was finally assembled and it is just beautiful. The wood is very soft, though, so I would suggest a writing pad for the surface. I'm afraid if you pressed too hard when writing, you would scratch the finish. If you can "respect" this desk, it's great. May be a little delicate for kids.

Styling is just what I was looking for to put in a small bedroom which may serve as an occasional home office. Small profile does not over crowd the room. One of the button inserts didn't stay in and when I pushed on it it went inside the hole and you can't take it out. Fortunately, you can't really notice unless you look closely.

This desk fits perfectly in my small living room area. It is roomy enough to hold my laptop and still give me plenty of writing space. I am very pleased with the quality and I really like the fact that the hutch is not attached which makes it very versatile.
