It does take some work too put together, But I`ve had worse items to put together. Parts where missing and one item damaged, But customer service was nice, fast and sent out the correct parts!!! So I really don`t have a problem there! I had too drill out the tops holes so it would bolt down. Also alignment of drawers are also needed. But after all is done it looks GREAT!!!

The Arts and Crafts style desk has a handsome design and nice hardware. The Oak veneer and hardwoods are also attractive. While directions were clear, the assembly was not an easy one: there were two holes that were not there that needed to be drilled and two drawers would not accept the screws and hardware. It turns out that the drawerfront depth was just slightly too wide and therefore the screws would not reach in order to tighten. A local hardware store finally came up with the closest thing they could find in Metric and we added wing nuts to hold them in place. Additionally, the cabinet that is to house the computer does not have enough open space to keep the computer from overheating unless the door is ajar. Unfortunately, we need to turn the computer off each time or leave the door open. Having said all of this, the desk is very nice looking and it seems very sturdy. My husband seems comfortable with the hanging files and drawers and overall design.

well made, everything fit, the top inside back mounting screws were the only part of the desk that was a challenge although when you took your time it was doable.
