It wasn't apparent that we had an extra charge I guess because it was being shipped from Canada and the charge showed up on our credit card because we purchased out of the country. It was around $15. We might have been told that on the site but over looked it. We still like the desk and would purchase it again, just wasn't expecting the charge and it didn't show up on the invoice because it was a credit card charge.

Very attractive desk. Build quality is reasonable for the money. Several minor complaints: (1) [...] I had to touch it up with a black sharpie. (2) one of the legs had the hole drilled on the wrong side so I had to call the manufacturer to ship a new leg. (3) One of the drawers does not slide smoothly. Despite these problems, hard to beat the price and the desk looks great in our home office.

This desk is very heavy and is well constructed.[...] It was VERY easy to assemble. It only took a few minutes.My only disappointment is that a desk chair with arms won't slide in under the desk, so the chair really sticks out from the desk. So if you need to buy a chair too, you might consider one without arms.

My experience with your personnell was wonderful. The desk arrived with a few knicks. My problem was that the center door would not stay closed. I called and they sent another drawer. Same thing, would not close. I called again and explained the problem again, and they decided to set out a set of I guess you would call them springs. $70.00 later after paying a carpenter to fit the new springs into the drawer, I now have a working desk. I am happy with the desk but not happy having had to pay a carpenter to put the new springs in the drawer. Would be nice to be reimbursed the $70.00. Otherwise it was a happy experience.

Perfect size for me in our winter home. It has nice sized lower drawers, though the upper hutch drawers don't have safety catches so they tend to fall out if pulled out too far. I just don't use them anymore.

The knee opening is too narrow and I constantly bang my knees on the corners of the drawers when getting off my chair. Also the keyboard drawer comes down so low that I can't sit at the desk with my knees crossed and therefore I've removed the drawer. So now I can only use 2 of the 5 drawers. I would redesign this piece with 2 stacked drawers on either size that are about 2 inches narrower and either no pencil/keyboard drawer or a much slimmer one.

Black surfaces seem to attract dust! Perhaps it just shows it quicker than natural wood. I sure love the look of this desk though and it suits my purpose well enough. Very fair price.
