  • The Bedford Bar Cabinet by Home Styles Furniture is a greatly versatile piece.  It can be used as a kitchen island, or a server with wine storage.  It has two cabinets with glass doors, two shelves in each cabinet, one drawer and can store fifteen bottles of wine.  The top slides apart to expand serving space.  The cabinet is made from hardwood solids and wood product with a multi-step ebony finish including a clear coat finish to help guard against wear and tear stemming from normal use.

        The Good: The bar looks good, has plenty of storage and is very sturdy. The bar can hold itself together even if some of the camlocks in the base are loose.

        The Bad: This is a very difficult item to build by yourself. It can be done, just expect to take 3-5 hours in the build phase. Also some of the steps seem to be out of order in the directions.

        The Ugly: In the construction, some of the camlocks loosened themselves. Take care when building/moving the bar. Also the shipping packages are very heavy - I recommend getting help if possible on carrying the boxes.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I was more than pleasantly surprised when I received this bar cabinet. I hesitated in buying this product especially online, but decided to give it a try since I was looking for something for so long and this was basically what I wanted. I love it! The quality, style everything~I am so thrilled I made this purchase. I am going to put a glass table top on it to protect the top and give it an even more polished look. My husband had no problem putting it together, but he is very handy--I myself could see where it might be alittle intimidating but so worth the time! It's a beautiful piece! :)

              We have had this piece of furniture around a month and a half now and I love it more every time I look at it! It is holding up really nicely and does not scratch easily, which is saying a lot around our house. It is great construction and very solid wood.

              I love this piece of furniture! We got it so fast after we ordered it and I couldn't be happier! There were a TON of pieces so it was a bit intimidating at first when we started putting it together, but it was well worth it! I love how it looks and the packaging was nice and secure~!
