I put the Hillsdale Tiburon Mirror on my bedroom dresser. The concave style of the top of the mirror and size is what attracted me to the purchase, as well as the price. Note that the mirror does not come with hooks or wires to hang. If you choose to set it on top of the dresser, you will need to add protective bumpers to prevent scratching the dresser and the wall and to hold the mirror in place. The distorted reflection may be to the angle of the mirror, however, I have adjusted it to have the slightest possible lean. The corner seams are not plumb,sloppy construction. I don't think this would vary across mirrors, so I didn't think it was worth exchanging.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
