I'm very happy with the design aesthetic and headboard/outer-frame quality... Only complaint is that the slats are weak and middle support beam requires reinforcement. A quick trip to the [...] for a bit of lumber and wood screws was well worth the great price for this beautiful bed.

This is certainly an attractive bed, but it is barely worth the price. The way in which the headboard attaches to the legs leaves a wide, unsightly gap where the two pieces join. This is simply a function of poor workmanship and design. The bed was easy enough to assemble, but sadly the slats which support the mattress are of low quality wood and very thin. Thus, once the mattress is placed on the frame you can see the boards flexing which clearly means that my expensive mattress will begin to dip over time. However, the worst part of all is the centre "support" system that is included with this set. It consists of 2 boards that attach at 90 degrees to the slats and 4 thin wooden legs that screw into the 2 boards. The design and construction of this portion is so poor that it is impossible to fully tighten the legs, thus causing them to splay out and provide no support once the mattress is set on the frame. It took a lot of creativity (and drilling, and 16 extra screws)to get this bed to a point where I could even lay on it without feeling the 4 centre legs scooting out and the mattress dipping dramatically in the middle as a result (for reference, I'm 120lbs so it's not as though I'm testing the weight limit of this frame!). If you're prepared to do some serious shoring up of this bed to get it up to snuff then it might be the bed for you. Otherwise, keep looking.
