        This bed is easy to make up and change the bedding.I think I should have bought an XL twin mattress instead of a regular, as the pillow slides down over the end of mattress. It would be OK to use almost any thickness mattress up to 10 or 11 inches. The trundle bed would be best with a thinner mattress; maybe 8 or 9 inches. My husband uses this daybed in his man cave and his dog sleeps on the trundle. Dog had spinal surgery and needs special accomodations until he recovers and learns to walk again. This arrangement is perfect for our special needs.

          One concern is that the distance from the bottom of the daybed frame to the top of the trundle is greater than what appears in the online pictures. The 1.25 inches space makes the mattress or bedding on the trundle very visable when looking at the front of the sofa. The online pictures show the distance to be the same on the side as the top. The space on either side is 1/4" and if the distance was 1/4" on all 3 sides, the trundle mattress would not be visable.

            Overall, I'm satisfied with the daybed, yet the size description is incorrect. It's stated that the daybed is 45" high, yet it is only 35 1/2" high. Due to remodeling in a bedroom, a 42" high door was added to wall to get to storage area; I bought this bed specifically to cover the door, yet obviously, because the measurements are incorrect on website, now the top of the door shows behind the daybed. I would have rated bed the highest, yet upset about inaccurate description.

              We were impressed with our first time furniture buy online. [...] was easy to assemble. It looks substantial and beautiful at the same time. The only disappointment was the backside which was open where the mattress sits. We would have preferred a closed back.
