      Love the siderails and footboard. But the most important part, the headboard, is problematic. It says that a box spring is "not required", but it definitely IS. Although this bed frame has slats (for those of us who like a low-profile bed with no box spring), the headboard does not go down to the frame--not even close. And the legs supporting the headboard aren't completely wrapped in leather--don't know why--so even though I did eventually have to get a box spring, I can still see fabric on either side of the mattress where the legs join the headboard. There are some odd leather panels that velcro on, but they go on the BACK of the bed (which 9/10 people have against a wall). Why skimp on these crucial few inches of leather?

        Beautiful bed, great quality leather (faux?), deep rich brown color (very much matches the picture) but I would have to say that it's even nicer in person! Not too difficult to assemble (if you're somewhat handy). The only bad thing is that there weren't directions in the box!

            Be sure to put all the screws in before tightening any of them up - frame was slightly misaligned -- probably tweaked[...]-- but it squared up when fully assembled.Padded headboard is comfy and is a great height for reading in bed; padded side & foot boards prevent you from banging up your shins when you walk by (if you are a klutz like me). :)Very easy to keep clean and dust-free with a quick wipedown - perfect if you have allergies.

                Beautiful bed, instructions for setup are very easy to follow. Make sure you have power tools, though, for the last part of the setup. The sales rep told me it doesn't need a boxspring, but there are 15 inches from the platform (four skinny metal bars) to the base of the headboard! You will need either a boxspring, or two layers of plywood plus a row of 2 x 8 inch boards (for example) to build up the height of your mattress.
