      The main use of these stools are for informal eating for my wife and myself at the kitchen island.
      They are attractive and are the perfect height for the island.
      They are of medium durability. This should not be a problem in a home without children.
      Overall, I would definitely recommend them.

        We really like the chairs, and they appear to be fairly durable. However, like most other furniture in this price range, the wood is either pine or some light color. We have granite countertops, so when the corners of the back rest are hit the lighter wood is exposed. We will keep a small can of stain on hand for regular touch ups. These are still a great alternative to custom made walnut chairs $$$.
