We had this out of the box and assembled in 15 minutes. It looks great and matches our other guest room furniture perfectly. No blemishes or flaws.

It took some careful inspection to determine which side of the headboard would be on the bed side. It can be attached to the vertical legs in either direction. As part of this inspection, it was obvious the factory attachment of the wrought-iron frame was not aligned correctly to the wooden arched top rail of the head board. This was both an esthetic issue and caused interference for the attachment of one of the vertical legs. Resolving this was straightforward, but it involved loosening all the attachment screws and then attaching the vertical legs, getting the wood top rail to be flush with the vertical legs. Then carefully re-tightening the wrought-iron attachment screws, while applying pressure to keep the front-back alignment centered.

Other than the above difficulty, the assembly went smoothly and the headboard looks great. Once assembled it is very sturdy, and the holes aligned nicely with the separately purchased queen bedframe.
